János Talabér JCD, MA, a.BSc
teacher, university lecturer
I spent my childhood in Dabas, Pest County, Hungary. In 1998, I graduated as a theology teacher, followed by qualifications as an English language teacher, church lawyer, teacher of English literature and linguistics, public education manager, and patient advocate.
During my university years, I worked continuously as an ambulance EMT, later as an ambulance technician, and in the United States as a paramedic. I hold certifications as an emergency nurse, general nurse, ambulance EMT, and American AEMT. For almost ten years (2014–2023), through my private ambulance service, I supported the work of the National Ambulance Service by providing ambulance vehicles.
I have been working in health care law since 2006 together with my friend and fellow law professor, Péter Antalóczy. I have numerous internationally recognized co-authored and individual publications in the fields of health law and English linguistics.
In addition to my secondary school teaching activities, I have served as a lecturer at ELTE, Semmelweis University, Zsigmond Király College, and János Harsányi College. Currently, I am a lecturer at the Faculty of Humanities of Károli Gáspár Reformed University, where—due to my foreign engagements—I participate in academic life as a member of a research group. I also taught social sciences at the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences for three years.
I have worked abroad as a visiting lecturer at Mary Baldwin College in Virginia (USA) and participated in Erasmus study visits to Germany, England, Poland, France, and Finland. I am a Master Teacher and serve as a Graduation Chairman each year.
I am strongly committed to emergency patient care and have gained extensive professional experience abroad. I have worked as an ambulance professional in the United States of America, Germany, and Austria.
Language skills: Hungarian (C2), English (C2), German (B2), Latin (A2).
